www.arshadmadani.com NEW DELHI—Stating that all political parties have a common policy of “not letting the Muslims stand on their feet,” Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind on Thursday appealed to Muslims to set up modern schools and colleges to provide m, modern education for Muslim children. The appeal was made by JUH president Maulana Syed Arshad Madani at a one-day training program for the district presidents, organizers and central members of the Jamiat Ulama Delhi unit held here at Masjid Jheel Piyao near ITO here. Addressing this program, Maulana Arshad Madani, explained once again that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind is not against modern education at all. As the nation needs scholars, in the same way it also needs doctors, engineers and scientists, but at the same time Jamait considers religious education as mandatory. He said that our stand, our politics, and our performance are entirely due to our elders, and we consider them as our beacon light. We do not consider it useful for the Jamaat (organization) to adopt any new way apart from their way. Maulana Madani emphasized that our forefathers were not against contemporary sciences, although they were all scholars and experts in Islamic sciences. For the freedom of the country, he fought a long struggle against the British, and sacrificed his life and wealth, but the fact is that he was not against English education. So, when the country became free, the leadership of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind officially launched a nationwide movement for the establishment of madrasas and schools, because they understood that the nation must be educated. He said that our stand is that modern education is also important for us too. But at the same time, they consider religious education as necessary because if our child becomes a doctor and engineer, he should have enough religious education to be able to recite the Shahadah at the time of his last breath. He expressed deep regret that the awareness of modern education among the Muslims of South India is much better than the Muslims of North India. We spend lakhs of rupees on marriage and other celebrations but do not think about establishing schools and colleges. It is not that the Muslims of the North have a lack of capital compared to the South, in fact, they do not have the consciousness that needs to be developed now. Maulana Madani said that in recent days, sad incidents of Hindu boys marrying Muslim girls have come to light. This is not without reason, but a group of sectarians is systematically supporting this, to make Muslim girls apostate. He further said that under the pressure of the propaganda done by the sectarians, a law was also made in the BJP-ruled states against the self-proclaimed term of Love-Jihad, but the worst discrimination was done in its implementation, if a Muslim boy committed it. His entire family was picked up and sent to jail. But when such an act was done by a Hindu boy, no action was taken but the administration supported him. Maulana Madani said that its answer is to establish separate educational institutions for Muslim boys and girls, where the boys and girls of the nation can study in a safe religious environment. He said that if nothing is done now, after ten years this situation can be explosive. Continuing his speech, he further said that you should never hope that the government will do something for you. Because since 1947, the unanimous policy of the sectarian people in all the political parties is to not let the Muslims stand on their feet, that is why even after 75 years of independence, Muslims are the most backward nation in the country, even though they are behind Dalits in every field. Maulana Madani said that after independence, Muslims were excluded from the educational and economic field under a decided policy of the rulers. Therefore, it is time for Muslims to educate their children at any cost. He appealed to the influential people of the nation to establish separate schools and colleges as many as they can for boys and girls, where they can easily study in a religious environment. Today, there is no scarcity of educated people among Muslims, the trend of getting education has increased among them. But even today there is a lack of good and quality educational institutions in North India, so I say that modern schools and colleges are also necessary for modern education. if you don’t have the resources, it doesn’t matter. Open a school for girls in a hut. If you do that, you will prove that you have national consciousness, and you are a living nation. If you don’t do that, you will be dead. Maulana Madani said in clear words that whether it is Muslim sectarianism or Hindu sectarianism, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind is against all forms of communalism as it is destructive to the unity and security of the country. He also said that after independence, when there was a conspiracy by some people to divide the country based on religion, the first voice raised against it was Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind. The ideology of our elders was that when we have been living in this country with love and brotherhood for thirteen or fourteen years, why can’t we live together after independence? He said that this is the view of Jamiat Ulama Hind even today, we believe that only through love, and brotherhood can this country survive and move forward. Otherwise, today, tomorrow, or after tomorrow, it will be destroyed. While mentioning the history of Palestine and Israel in detail, he said once again that Israel is a tyrant and usurper., and the people of Palestine are fighting a war to free their country from the tyrants just like the war fought by our elders, Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh to free India from the slavery of the British. Addressing the audience, he said that now you need to come to the field, work where you are and whatever you can do, do it irrespective of caste and religion. You should develop your friendship with Hindus, invite them to your place, and visit them, because only by coming closer, the misunderstandings, that the sectarians have filled in their minds, can be removed. Maulana Madani also said that whatever welfare work you do, include every needy person without looking at religion. The sectarians want to strengthen their position by spreading hatred, you should thwart this conspiracy with your character and actions, and change the distance they have created between Hindus and Muslims into closeness with your love.
